Corporate Social Responsibility

As an originally Australian organization, we have been active in the Dutch market since 2012, specializing in professional tools for construction. We want to distinguish ourselves as an organization that sells high-quality products by conducting business honestly. Our first customer is still our customer, and service is one of the focal points in our policy. Because we are a relatively new player in the Dutch market, we want to focus on expanding our dealer network in the coming years, with the goal of being a market leader in professional construction tools, as we are in Australia, England, Scandinavia, and the United States.

Corporate social responsibility is one of the driving forces of our organization. As an international organization, we want to minimize our footprint by investing sustainably. Since we are a sales organization with salespeople on the road, this is one of our areas of focus. In our first year in the Netherlands, we invested in a green fleet of vehicles to minimize our CO2 emissions and reduce mobility costs. We also encourage our employees to drive electric or hybrid cars. At our headquarters in Maasland, we use an existing office building but are constantly looking for new ways to make our office as green as possible. In 2014, we will install solar panels on the roof and replace all lighting with LED lighting. In this way, we want to make a sustainable investment that will pay off in the relatively short term through lower energy bills. We have used government tax incentives for these specific investments, but this is more of a support for our policy than a goal in itself.

When it comes to corporate social responsibility, our stakeholders are of great importance. This includes not only our customers and staff, but also the environment in which we operate. At Core Supply Group, we are proud of our employees and want to create a work environment in which individuals can focus on their professional development. We have a multicultural workforce with different backgrounds and perspectives. This diversity makes our organization an exciting and rewarding place to work. We have a constant demand for interns, and every year we have positions available in sales, marketing, finance, and service. A training plan has been developed for each department to enable young people to integrate into our organization and gain work experience in a relatively short period of time. We currently employ 14 people in the Netherlands, 10 of whom are full-time. Internationally, we have 100 employees.

At the executive level, there will be an evaluation of the integrated CSR policy every year. This will be guided by an external advisor specializing in this topic. As a start-up organization in the Netherlands, we have formulated the following objectives for next year: – Developing a new stakeholder analysis. – Preparing an ISO 9001 manual and obtaining certification.
